Australian offshoring firm, Cloudstaff, today announced that it has completed its Series A funding round led by PieLAB Venture Partners, which specialises in investing in the Real Estate industry’s most promising entrepreneurs.
PieLAB has also been joined by founding investors, Arafura Ventures, who also participated in the round.
Cloudstaff is Australia’s trusted supplier of offshoring services for Australian Real Estate Agencies. It is this unique niche that first attracted the PieLAB investors.
Chris Rolls, Managing Director of PieLAB, said, “We’re very excited about Cloudstaff’s ability to help Australian businesses to offshore to the Philippines. Their technology platforms have helped them scale their offshoring business to now have over 1,500 staff.”
“Their unique combination of genuine care for their staff and clients while scaling their business through clever technology tools gives us great confidence that Cloudstaff is on a trajectory to become an outstanding brand in the offshoring space,” Mr Rolls said.
Cloudstaff has carved a significant name for itself with several hundred staff dedicated specifically to assisting Australian Real Estate offices to offshore tasks that help them to be more locally competitive, grow their businesses while also removing costs.
Lloyd Ernst, Managing Director of Cloudstaff, said the capital will be used to fund new growth initiatives that will see Cloudstaff continue to expand to become Australia’s trusted outsourcing brand.
Mr Ernst said, “We are experimenting with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools right now that examine both our customer and staff behaviours and work patterns.”
It is important that the outsourcing industry looks seriously at this game-changing technology. We believe that AI can bring onshore and offshore teams closer together to the point where we can build a ‘Siri for your business’ that understands your company’s specific policies, processes, behaviours and needs,” Mr Ernst said.
Cloudstaff was founded in 2007 by Australian technology serial entrepreneur, Lloyd Ernst, most known for firstly building and then selling the WebCentral Hosting business to Malcolm and Lucy Turnbull’s For The Record recordings business back in 2005.
“We are very pleased to welcome PieLAB Venture Partners to the table,” Mr Ernst said.
“A big part of our business focuses on empowering Australian small businesses with the offshore teams they need that grow their business. We help to make Aussie businesses to be more locally competitive while also reducing costs”, Mr Ernst said.
