Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE) is an organization composed of academic institutions, IT program heads, faculty members, corporate members, and IT graduate students.
PSITE aims to promote quality Information Technology education in the country through workshops, seminars, industry-academe linkages, and programs designed to benefit its members, and the academic sector in general.
Last Thursday, 19 April 2017, Cloudstaff’s HR Manager, Riza Caladiao, attended the PSITE Region 3 General Assembly and Conference in Baler, Aurora.
Dr. Fiorello Abenes, of USAID STRIDE, was one of the many speakers, and part of the presentation discussed “Engaging Academe in the Industry”. He shared his experiences and talked about the recently formalised partnership between Holy Angel University, USAID, and Cloudstaff. He emphasized the value of such partnerships.
Professor George Granados of Mabalacat City College shared his thoughts on the challenges faced by his facility and students, and that his goal is to educate and expose their students to new technologies. He talked about Cloudstaff’s support, and how donations, such as computers and iPads were helping them reach their goals. Cloudstaff is committed to providing technological and real-world experience for their students.
Cloudstaff was noted as the first Enterprise member of PSITE and Ms. Riza was voted to be the Industry Coordinator representing Cloudstaff.
