Cloudstaff values the importance of continuous learning and we encourage our staff to share their knowledge and learn from each other.
Cloudstaff is aware of the unquenchable changes brought by technology and the only way to keep up is to expand the knowledge and skills of our Cloudstaffers. We ensure that they are well-informed and up-to-date of the latest improvements on essential tools they are using — like the Angular 4 platform that is very useful to our developers and software engineers.
We have recently organized an Angular 4 workshop which was facilitated by our PHP Developer, Rheinfalz. Heaps of our Cloudstaffers showed interest and attended to know what the new version of Angular has to offer.
Angular is a platform that makes it easy to build applications with the web; it empowers developers to build applications that live on the web, mobile, or the desktop.
Senior Software Engineer, Lord, expressed his pleasure with the wonderful learning experience:
“I went to the seminar with zero experience in Angular and TypeScript. I thought setting up Angular environment on my machine would be difficult, but then I realised it is not. It was made easy with the help of our speaker, Rheinfalz, who is really good in Angular. It is interesting to note that sandwich has been served even before the seminar started, making our morning really good and full.
Rheinfalz taught us how Angular project is organized and the usage of files therein. I learned so much from the seminar including one-way and two-way binding, generating component, dependency injection, passing of data from one module to another, routing and many more. Sample codes were provided as well which is very important.
I have been working with ASP.NET MVC and comparing it with Angular, Angular is much simpler with data binding. On the other hand, ASP.NET MVC have its strength in the server side. The good thing is, I have read from the web that you can combine both technology in one project.
We had a delicious lunch and ended the seminar with some pizza. I like how the training was organised and we are grateful that Cloudstaff really wants us to grow.”
Aside from empowering the staff, these kinds of activities also enhance teamwork while they learn new skills together.
